Ayah 123 of 123 · Meccan

وَلِلَّهِ غَيۡبُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَإِلَيۡهِ يُرۡجَعُ ٱلۡأَمۡرُ كُلُّهُۥ فَٱعۡبُدۡهُ وَتَوَكَّلۡ عَلَيۡهِۚ وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِغَٰفِلٍ عَمَّا تَعۡمَلُونَ ١٢٣

And to Allāh belong the unseen [aspects] of the heavens and the earth and to Him will be returned the matter, all of it, so worship Him and rely upon Him. And your Lord is not unaware of that which you do.

  9. فَٱعۡبُدۡهُso worship Himfa-uʿ'bud'hu
  10. وَتَوَكَّلۡand put your trustwatawakkal
  11. عَلَيۡهِۚupon Himʿalayhi
  12. وَمَاAnd your Lord is notwamā
  13. رَبُّكَAnd your Lord is notrabbuka
  14. بِغَٰفِلٍunawarebighāfilin
  15. عَمَّاof whatʿammā
  16. تَعۡمَلُونَyou dotaʿmalūna

Tafsir

Allah alone has knowledge of the Ghaib in the heavens and the earth. Nothing is hidden from Him. The entire matter will be returned to Him alone on the Day of Judgement. So worship Him alone, O Messenger, and place your trust in Him in all your affairs. Your Lord is not unaware of what you do. Instead, He knows about it and He will repay each person for what they did.
