نَّحۡنُ خَلَقۡنَٰهُمۡ وَشَدَدۡنَآ أَسۡرَهُمۡۖ وَإِذَا شِئۡنَا بَدَّلۡنَآ أَمۡثَٰلَهُمۡ تَبۡدِيلًا ٢٨
We have created them and strengthened their forms, and when We will, We can change their likenesses with [complete] alteration.
Translation: Saheeh International (English)
Word by word Each word's meaning and sound
نَّحۡنُ We naḥnu خَلَقۡنَٰهُمۡ created them khalaqnāhum وَشَدَدۡنَآ and We strengthened washadadnā أَسۡرَهُمۡۖ their forms asrahum وَإِذَا and when wa-idhā شِئۡنَا We will shi'nā بَدَّلۡنَآ We can change baddalnā أَمۡثَٰلَهُمۡ their likeness[es] amthālahum تَبۡدِيلًا (with) a change tabdīlan Tafsir I have created them and strengthened their creation by giving strength in their joints, limbs etc. And if I wanted to destroy them and replace them with people like them, I would have done so.
