Indeed, the Muslim men and Muslim women, the believing men and believing women, the obedient men and obedient women, the truthful men and truthful women, the patient men and patient women, the humble men and humble women, the charitable men and charitable women, the fasting men and fasting women, the men who guard their private parts and the women who do so, and the men who remember Allāh often and the women who do so - for them Allāh has prepared forgiveness and a great reward.
وَٱلۡمُسۡلِمَٰتِand the Muslim womenwal-mus'limāti
وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَand the believing menwal-mu'minīna
وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنَٰتِand the believing womenwal-mu'mināti
وَٱلۡقَٰنِتِينَand the obedient menwal-qānitīna
وَٱلۡقَٰنِتَٰتِand the obedient womenwal-qānitāti
وَٱلصَّٰدِقِينَand the truthful menwal-ṣādiqīna
وَٱلصَّٰدِقَٰتِand the truthful womenwal-ṣādiqāti
وَٱلصَّٰبِرِينَand the patient menwal-ṣābirīna
وَٱلصَّٰبِرَٰتِand the patient womenwal-ṣābirāti
وَٱلۡخَٰشِعِينَand the humble menwal-khāshiʿīna
وَٱلۡخَٰشِعَٰتِand the humble womenwal-khāshiʿāti
وَٱلۡمُتَصَدِّقِينَand the men who give charitywal-mutaṣadiqīna
وَٱلۡمُتَصَدِّقَٰتِand the women who give charitywal-mutaṣadiqāti
وَٱلصَّٰٓئِمِينَand the men who fastwal-ṣāimīna
وَٱلصَّٰٓئِمَٰتِand the women who fastwal-ṣāimāti
وَٱلۡحَٰفِظِينَand the men who guardwal-ḥāfiẓīna
فُرُوجَهُمۡtheir chastityfurūjahum
وَٱلۡحَٰفِظَٰتِand the women who guard (it)wal-ḥāfiẓāti
وَٱلذَّٰكِرِينَand the men who rememberwal-dhākirīna
ٱللَّهَAllahl-laha
كَثِيرٗاmuchkathīran
وَٱلذَّٰكِرَٰتِand the women who rememberwal-dhākirāti
أَعَدَّAllah has preparedaʿadda
ٱللَّهُAllah has preparedl-lahu
لَهُمfor themlahum
مَّغۡفِرَةٗforgivenessmaghfiratan
وَأَجۡرًاand a rewardwa-ajran
عَظِيمٗاgreatʿaẓīman
Tafsir
Indeed, the males who submit to Allah and the females who submit; the male believers in Allah and the female believers; the males who obey Allah and the females who obey; the males who are truthful in their belief and their statements and the females who are truthful; the males who are patient in obedience, in refraining from sins and during trials and the females who are patient; the males who give in obligatory and optional charity from their wealth and the females who give in charity; the males who keep obligatory and optional fasts and the females who fast; the males who guard their private parts from exposure to those who are forbidden from seeing them and from the immorality of fornication and anything leading to it, and the females who guard their private parts; and the males who remember Allah abundantly in private and in public and the females who remember Allah, Allah has prepared His special forgiveness for them from their sins, and an immense reward on the Day of Judgement which is Paradise.
