Ya-Sin 41

Ayah 41 of 83 · Meccan

وَءَايَةٞ لَّهُمۡ أَنَّا حَمَلۡنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡفُلۡكِ ٱلۡمَشۡحُونِ ٤١

And a sign for them is that We carried their forefathers1 in a laden ship.

Translation: Saheeh International (English)

1 Usually meaning "descendants" or "offspring," the word "dhurriyyah" is used here to denote forefathers (their being the offspring of Noah), who were saved from the flood.

Tafsir

Another sign for them of Allah’s Oneness and of His favour to His servants is that I carried those who were saved from the flood from the progeny of Adam in the time of Noah in the ship that was filled with Allah’s creations. Allah carried therein a pair of every species.
