On the Day you see the believing men and believing women, their light proceeding before them and on their right, [it will be said], "Your good tidings today are [of] gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein you will abide eternally." That is what is the great attainment.
وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنَٰتِand the believing womenwal-mu'mināti
يَسۡعَىٰrunningyasʿā
نُورُهُمtheir lightnūruhum
بَيۡنَbefore thembayna
أَيۡدِيهِمۡbefore themaydīhim
وَبِأَيۡمَٰنِهِمۖand on their rightwabi-aymānihim
بُشۡرَىٰكُمُGlad tidings for youbush'rākumu
ٱلۡيَوۡمَthis Day l-yawma
جَنَّٰتٞgardensjannātun
تَجۡرِيflowingtajrī
مِنfrommin
تَحۡتِهَاunderneath ittaḥtihā
ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُthe riversl-anhāru
خَٰلِدِينَabiding foreverkhālidīna
فِيهَاۚthereinfīhā
ذَٰلِكَThatdhālika
هُوَ[it] (is)huwa
ٱلۡفَوۡزُthe successl-fawzu
ٱلۡعَظِيمُthe greatl-ʿaẓīmu
Tafsir
On the day when you will see the believing men and women, with their light ahead of them and to their right. It will be said to them on that day, “Your glad tidings today are of gardens under the palaces and trees of which rivers flow, and in which you will live forever. That reward is the great success, that cannot be equalled by any other.”
