Al-Jinn 18

Ayah 18 of 28 · Meccan

وَأَنَّ ٱلۡمَسَٰجِدَ لِلَّهِ فَلَا تَدۡعُواْ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ أَحَدٗا ١٨

And [He revealed] that the masjids1 are for Allāh, so do not invoke2 with Allāh anyone.

Translation: Saheeh International (English)

1 The term "masjid" here includes every place of worship or the earth in general.

2 Or "worship."

Tafsir

And that the mosques belong to Him (may He be glorified) and not to anyone else. So do not call on anyone together with Allah and become like the Jews and the Christians in their synagogues and churches.
