قَالَ كَذَٰلِكَ أَتَتۡكَ ءَايَٰتُنَا فَنَسِيتَهَاۖ وَكَذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡيَوۡمَ تُنسَىٰ ١٢٦
[Allāh] will say, "Thus did Our signs come to you, and you forgot [i.e., disregarded] them; and thus will you this Day be forgotten."
Translation: Saheeh International (English)
Word by word Each word's meaning and sound
قَالَ He will say qāla كَذَٰلِكَ Thus kadhālika أَتَتۡكَ came to you atatka ءَايَٰتُنَا Our Signs āyātunā فَنَسِيتَهَاۖ but you forgot them fanasītahā وَكَذَٰلِكَ and thus wakadhālika ٱلۡيَوۡمَ today l-yawma تُنسَىٰ you will be forgotten tunsā Tafsir Allah said in refutation of him: “This is like what you did in the world, because My signs came to you but you turned away from them and left them. Likewise, you will be left today in punishment”.
